In the depths of my pelvis
burns a spark.
If I can reach that spark
I’ll find the passage down
down, into the cave
of beginnings.
Where limbs multiply.
Where I see from every pore.
Where life runs all
around and through me.
If I let myself be submerged
I can embody this First Being
and breathe into all
our luscious dimensions.
In my body lives this galaxy
these billions of galaxies.
Like the strands of my hair
the cells of my blood.
Every electron
orbiting its sun.
And me breathing
in a figure eight.
